AI ADVISORY FOR EXECUTIVE TEAMS

Everyone is telling you to use AI. So, where to start?

Focus on your business first, then the two or three places AI actually moves a number, then the guardrails to get there responsibly.

No deck, no pitch; thirty minutes on your business.

Our position

The question was never which AI tool. It was which decisions in this business are worth changing.

Start with the tool and you get a pilot. Start with the business and you get a result you can put in front of a board.

We are independent. We do not resell software, we do not take vendor commissions, and we are not angling to sell you an implementation on the back of the advice. That is the whole point of hiring us instead of someone with inventory to move.

Who you are actually hiring

A boutique firm means the people who sell the work do the work.

There is no bench, no template, and no analyst you have never met writing your recommendation. You get the two of us, in the room, or you get neither.

Data and AI solutions are my specialty. Solving problems and business strategy are my passion. I am a practitioner who learned to sell rather than a seller who learned AI. Which means the recommendation comes with the analysis behind it and the executive conversation around it.

Co-founder

As a consultant to mega-cap healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations, I've been at the technical forefront of implementing end-to-end AI solutions. I've led multiple high-impact AI projects across retail, insurance, and software. Having built these systems firsthand, I know what works in production - and what looks good in a demo but fails at scale. That's the lens I want to bring to every recommendation.

We take a small number of clients at a time. That is a real constraint, not a marketing line.

Before you book

The questions we get first.

Why do most AI efforts stall?

Because they start with a tool instead of a decision, and because almost everyone in the room has something to sell you.

The demo impressed everyone. Nine months later it is still a demo, the budget is spent, and nobody wants to be the one who kills it. Every vendor's recommendation is their own product, and every large consultancy sends a partner to sell it and analysts to deliver it. Meanwhile you are calling tools, data, vendors, and headcount without a peer who has done this before and has nothing to sell you.

How do you work with us?

Two engagements, in this order.

01 The AI Audit, fixed fee

  • Fixed scope and fixed fee, agreed before we start
  • Ranked opportunities, with the business case attached
  • A clear list of what not to do, and why
  • Data, risk, and policy guardrails in plain language

02 Executive AI Coaching, monthly retainer

  • Working sessions with your leadership team, not lectures
  • A call you can make when a vendor or a board question lands
  • Pressure testing before you commit budget or headcount
  • Month to month value, reviewed openly

Most clients start with the audit. You are never obligated to continue into coaching, and we will tell you plainly if you do not need it.

Are we a fit?

We are not right for everyone, and we would rather say so on the first call.

This is built for you if

  • You run a company between roughly 50 and 500 people
  • You are the CEO, president, COO, or owner, and you are both the buyer and the user
  • You have already tried something with AI and it stalled
  • You want judgment from a person, not a capability from a platform
  • You would rather have a fixed scope than an open hourly meter

Look elsewhere if

  • You already have an internal data science organization
  • You want someone to build and ship the software
  • You are shopping primarily on price
  • You want a tool recommendation without changing how anything runs
  • You want a training course rather than a partner in the decisions
What actually happens on the 30-minute call?

You describe what is going on in your business and what pushed AI onto your agenda. We tell you honestly whether the audit is worth your money, what we would look at first, and what it would cost. If the answer is that you do not need us yet, we will say that instead.

What does it cost?

The audit is a fixed fee against a fixed scope, quoted before we start, so there is no open meter. Coaching is a flat monthly retainer. We price both on the call once we understand the size and shape of the work, because quoting a number before we know either would be guessing.

Do you build the AI systems too?

No, and that is deliberate. The moment we have implementation revenue on the line, our advice stops being independent. When you need a build partner we will help you choose one and hold them to the plan.

How is this different from hiring a consultancy?

A large consultancy is priced for the enterprise, staffed with juniors, and the partner who sold the engagement is rarely in the room afterward. We are two operators who take a small number of clients at a time. That is a real constraint, not a marketing line.

How long does the audit take?

Weeks, not quarters. The scope is set so you have something you can act on and defend to a board inside the same planning cycle you are already in.

Do you work outside the Research Triangle?

Yes. We are based in Durham and Raleigh, delivery is remote-first, and we travel for the executive sessions where being in the room matters.

Next step

Book a 30-minute call.

Bring the thing you are stuck on. We will tell you where AI is worth your attention and where it is not, whether or not you ever hire us.
